Buon 2010!

What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That's not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that's the burden of a year.

I'm glad you were able to spend some time with your family in Italy again, though I can understand how difficult it must have been to leave yet again.

Wishing you and your family a new year blessed with joy, peace, good health, prosperity and love.

Thank you, Antonella. All the best for you and your dear in this new year. (OMG, I didn't want to write a rhyme!) Good health, joy and prosperity to all your readers, too! *Hugs* MG

May 2010 bring all the joy and laughter of the light, and none of the weeping of the night. What a wonderful poem!
