A great example of solidarity and humanity took place last
Sunday on the A4 Milan-Venice motorway (Italy) in aid of an eight year-old girl who was thrown out of a car colliding against a barrier
near Bergamo. A truck driver drove
his truck sideways
to shield the damaged car,- as shown in this image broadcast by the Italian
Highway Agency - and prevented the car and its passengers from being crashed by other
vehicles. Fortunately a team of Red
Cross volunteers was in the vicinity and managed to give first aid to the child, who was in cardiac arrest,
and save her life. Good Samaritans still exist!

A singular act of bravery that deserves a medal in my opinion.
Hi Steve, Hope you're ok. Ciao
Spotted you commenting over at Jane's. Glad to see you again.
The event you write about certainly made me feel good about people this morning.

Hi Darla, Hope you're fine in this very sad day of remembrance. 12 years have gone and it still seems yesterday. x
