Frozen Britain

This striking image taken by Nasa's Terra satellite on 7 January shows the UK deep in the clutches of the current cold snap. I have lived in the UK over 15 years and I've never seen a winter ike this before!

Yep, we saw it too, so cool! :) We got a bit more snow (just 2cm) tonight. It covered the dirty ice on the road and everything looks pretty again. But I so don't want to go out in the slippery road! :( Have a happy and fun weekend! Stay warm & cozy! :)

What a stunning picture! Yes, the winter is really hard this year. I live near Washington DC and we had 50 cm of snow the week before Christmas and it's still there.

We have a blue spruce in the garden that we had decorated with lights and it looked so beautiful when they shone through the snow that covered the tree. The picture is here if you'd like to see it:
