40 but we don't show it!!!!

My “bestest” friend Giusy and I have known each other for 40 years today!!!! We were two little shy girls in reception class when we met and now we are almost old ladies but still young at heart. I’ve been so lucky to meet her and have her as a friend for all these years! Although we live in two different countries we couldn’t be closer. She’s always been there for me and I know she always will. We laugh so much together and have so many things in common that’s almost incredible! Together we’ve become so famous that we’ve even made it on the cover of Vogue!!!

Look who's reading Twilight! :) Are you enjoying it? I liked the sage, moslty this 1st book. I did not like book #2. Then I loved # 3 and didn't even finish #4, LOL!
Happy weekend ahead! Rainy here :( we didn't see the sun for 6 days now, sob!

How great that you have managed to stay such great friends even though you live so far apart! Must go call my girlfriend in Vancouver now!

What a wonderful tribute to friendship. May you have many, many more years of enjoying one anothers company - even if you are seperated by countries.

How wonderful to have a girl friend for that long! You both look great in the 'cover,' it's hard to believe you've been friends for 40 years!

Belated happy birthday to Vicky too! What a wonderful gift she is, especially after all that struggle!

Thank you so much for your concern and prayers for us this past week, Antonella. That means so much to me! The second typhoon skipped Metro Manila, but now I feel so bad for our northern coastal provinces. I hear that the winds are so strong, roofs are flying off houses! It has been a terrible week for the Asia Pacific region.

I hope you and your family have a happy weekend! (HUGS)

@Maria Grazia: Thanks, MG for your dear comment and your very kind award!
@Sher: Yes, the photo was taken at the Castle Howard Park straight after we visited the Yorkshire Lavander. It was a splendid sunny day and we were so happy!
@Jane: Thanks for your wishes. I considered myself really blessed by her friendship. Giusy is a wonderful person, like a real sister to me.
@Kia: Hope you’re better by now. I’ve already finished “Twilight”, quite a compelling reading although not very well written. I’ll probably read the next book of the saga, when I don’t have anything better to read. In the meanwhile I need something more “substantial” now! Ciao.
@Sharon Rose: Unfortunately we live miles and miles away from each other but we try our best to keep in touch as much as possible. Ciao.
@Missie: Thanks, I hope we will manage another 40 years!!!
@Beth: That’s for the “cute”!
@ModernMom: Hope your friend in Vancouver enjoyed your phone call!

@Darla: Thanks, I hope I will retire in Italy and we can grow older together!
@Hilda: Thanks for finding the time to comment here. Hope things are getting better in Manila. It is so heartbreaking to so such a devastation. Wish you all the best!
@Laura: The bond is so strong that we sometimes phone each other at the same time finding the lines engaged of course or we send email at the same time. Really spooky sometimes! All the best.

Ciao Antonella! Non è certo dire che sia un capolavoro, anzi. Per me è stata una lettura piacevole nei pomeriggi in cui volevo rilassarmi. :)
Buona notte e sogni d'oro! E grazie per la visita a Happy Snappy!
